Bearsville is dedicated to the creation of ground-breaking and unique music, and the band wishes to return to the days when artists such as Albert Grossman and Todd Rundgren were reshaping the music scene. As a founding member of The Band at Big Pink in Saugerties in the 1960s, Levon Helm has been instrumental in bringing the most cutting-edge and talented musicians to Woodstock ever since. The popular Midnight Rambles (which usually begin at 8 or 9 p.m.) that he used to host, remain a cherished tradition more than a decade after his death. This intimate setting, which was originally a part of Levon's home, is tucked away along Plochman Lane in a quiet neighborhood. Amy Helm, Levon Helm's daughter, is the driving force behind the studio's continued success, as evidenced by her frequent appearances on stage.

OK, so this isn't a music venue, but it is a pretty cool facility that celebrates everything music-related – including an incredible collection of vinyl recordings as well as instruments – and is well worth seeing.
